So what happens after?

Cartart is about inviting people to start noticing stray carts. There are so many. Once you start noticing them you'll see they can be found just about everywhere.

But what happens after?
Eventually someone goes to the effort to collect them. Not just the photos, like I do. Someone actually retrieves them from the streets and hopefully returns them to where they belong.

Here is an example of how this is done in Sydney, Australia.

Snow has hit big parts of Europe today, leading to airports and whathaveyou's getting closed. Cartart can report that also the stray carts of the world are suffering from this hard snowfall.

Covered in guilt / carts

This nice stencil by Pøbel, and taken by Henning Lima at Mono in Oslo, illustates the feeling I have had whenever someone has asked me about cartart the last half year - covered in guilt / carts.

I have finally managed to collect some energy, and I have started sorting carts. There is a big risk of some carts missing names, locations or both. For that.. I apoligize.

Please let me know if you see that your cart has been posted and is missing some information.

Technical difficulties

The reason the cartart gallery haven't been updated for quite some time, is due to some technical difficulties. In addition, time hasn't exactly been available for me to use.

But I have recieved many nice contributions, and there's carts coming in from Australia, Svolvær and many more places.

The Rest of 2009

I have now finally gotten around to publishing all the last remaining carts from 2009 (the ones I hadn't yet published). Seventeen new carts is now in the gallery.

Collecting carts from people is by the way a very good way to "keep track" on what your friends are doing (useful for people without facebook). But I get the real truths about people.. I know who's been out on the town late nights, who enjoys kebabs and who spends suspiciously much time at "Ruten" in Sandnes ;)

Christmas is now officially over and can be cleaned away, to suddently being here all too soon again. Try to make the best of the time before this new year suddently ends again, and of course - notice the stray carts also in 2010.

Vernissage

Happy new year! I even found a stray cart at midnight, so I'm certain this will be a good year.

Today is the day for a vernissage at Cafe Sting in Stavanger. The exhibition 'And it All Ends', (with cartart represented) will hanging at Cafe Sting in January, but it opens today from seven p.m. to ten p.m.

If you search up cartart in google, you suddently get hit by a new definition on what cartart is.

"very sexy lady who likes to ride in fast cars and is mega good in bed.

the gal whos in ur car everynight"

Well.. it's a bit different than what I mean by cartart.. but it opened my eyes for various cool products,

and I also wouldn't mind being called the cartart girl after this urban definition ;)

Cartart is part of a exhibition at café Sting in Stavanger in January.

The exhibition is called 'And it All Ends', and starts January 1st at seven p.m (19.00).

More than three years of cart-collecting has gone by. And with a new decade coming up, it was time to renew the look and feel of it all. The gallery in itself remains the way it is today, but the new entrance to it is this nice website.
